Typically poorly informed and signed when the office is closed, like many archaeology parks in Italy. But is worth a visit to see some very interesting local history. I suggest visiting the Etruscan site at Marzabotto too, to get a goof comparison- if you have time/a car and are a history geek like me.

At the service center they gave us all the necessary information and even more, you can buy the various maps of the area and the parking is very convenient. The archaeological area is highly recommended, although personally I would have felt safer if there were more people (we came on Sunday but we were the only ones in the park anyway). The paths are well marked and not difficult.

Possibility of guided tours, bar with seating, documentation and maps of the place. Ample parking for cars and buses. Archaeological area with necropolis and inhabited part, generally less frequent. Quite panoramic area between the Idice Valley and the Zena Valley.

Beautiful and evocative corner of paradise, where you can visit an Etruscan / Celtic village with the archaeologists who discovered it, go trekking on CAI trails, mountain biking on dedicated routes and relax at the Service Center, where you can eat and drink at the weekend with historical menus. Absolutely to try
