Nursing Home Malatesta Novello

As on other occasions, I contacted the Malatesta Novello because I urgently needed to carry out some tests. After having managed to book the exams by phone, I show up at your center: a structure totally unprepared to manage the health emergency that the world is experiencing, spending the whole morning in a queue in close contact with dozens of people at a clogged secretariat, kept standing only by a smart and capable secretary. A single operator who has to divide himself between endless telephone calls and dozens of people physically assembled in a narrow waiting room / corridor devoid of any minimum safety and hygiene measures that the current criticalities would require. It is unacceptable that a health facility has such short-sighted and poor management. This is just the preamble to a question that is embarrassing ... My turn finally arrived and I am challenged that my insurance file had been received. The previous day I had called both my insurance and the center to make sure everything was in order and that the documentation was in order. I was guaranteed that it was. Well, I had the forms forwarded again and the following day I received a phone call from the MN secretariat informing me that the file was now ok and that I could proceed, according to the established dates, with the withdrawal of the reports, paying only the difference due. This morning, Wednesday 07/10/2020 my girlfriend, under my delegation, showed up at the same secretariat and after 1h30 in a row and gathering, she was told that I would have to take another exam as the resonance made previously did not reflect the specific of the specialist and that they would not have had time to warn me before that moment. So the reports were not available (then I discover that at least RX was!) And I had to book an exam again at the same facility. After 1h35 of phone waiting (really!) I can talk to the secretary with whom I can only book an appointment for further resonance. My girlfriend was 2 hours off, another half day for me and 2 weeks (at least!) Late for the long-awaited urgent reports.

I write after two years about my experience at this private facility: let's start from the fact that I had to operate at Malatesta because Professor Luchetti is based there, so there were no alternatives, for my fracture the best was needed. The operation went well and the recovery too, the hospitalization, the admission and all the visits I had to do at this hospital turned out to be something really embarrassing, stressed staff splashed rude, all crowded like beasts in the various waiting rooms , endless queues, small rooms with obsolete services, from beds to toilets, all stuck in the 60s, pillows included, those with foam cubes inside. ROBE DA MADTI! A badly managed money machine deliberately to make the most of it, shameful.

After two ankle arthrodeses I find myself having to do it again in the Malatesta Novelllo nursing home. I am still hospitalized but for a short time and I am trying in every way to compliment all the medical and paramedical staff in particular I want to include Dr. Ljioi who is a special person and a professional of great depth. I don't know how the clinical course will evolve but as a nurse from another location I can guarantee that everyone has put a bit of their contribution. Thanks also to the nurse Camilla who during the night was like a guardian angel. I hope the director takes a look and. Awareness of the professionals with whom he collaborates. Bad experience and I strongly advise against this establishment. On Thursday 15 October I had an appointment with my daughter at 7:00 pm for a brain resonance with and without contrast medium. My daughter just of age had to go in alone to respect the internal covid rules and she waited until 19:40 before being called. She waited alone in a totally EMPTY waiting room for a definitely not very nice exam, she has been fasting for 7 hours with the unknown reaction she might have had after the contrast medium. At 8:00 pm an employee of the facility seeing me nervously walking on the street outside the facility accompanied me to the waiting room adjacent to my daughter. Examination ended at 20:15 without contrast. Report to be collected on 22 October. I state that we live in Rimini. On October 22nd with my daughter we go to collect the report ..... THAT IS NOT THERE !!!!!!! Reason? The reason is that you have to redo the resonance even with the contrast medium and then resume an appointment ... But why not complete it when we introduced ourselves as it was clearly in the request? The answer was: "probably the doctor took a look when the patient came in and did not feel the need to do the MRI with contrast medium but when the technician noticed it the doctor was already gone and he did not have authorization to do it " In fact, the technician finished his job had told my daughter to go back herself to collect the exams because probably if something was not clear they would have made another "pass" ........ He already knew it needed so why not call us before going blank especially in these times? And the doctor who takes a look and then goes home to eat ???!?!? Eventually my daughter had to do the fast and the missing exam again. NEVER AGAIN IN THIS STRUCTURE.

A good structure all in all. Staff sometimes friendly, others a little less depending on the days. Good services at least as regards radiology and fast telematic responses. No own parking available but there are some indulgent places. Otherwise there are buses that stop right at the nursing home.
