This place is important to visit.
Church of the parish community of Genoa Pontedecimo and dedicated to San Giacomo Maggiore. The original building dates back to 1167. Rebuilt in the second half of the 1800s.
At the request of Sister Bellenda, abbess of the Benedictine monastery of San Tommaso in Genoa, the archbishop of Genoa Ugo della Volta with a decree of 6 June 1167 authorized the construction in Pontedecimo of a hospice for assistance to pilgrims with an attached church, the whose dedication to St. James the Major testified to the transit of pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela
It is the place of my community, where I baptized my children and lived many beautiful moments together with the parish community
