The restaurant serves good quality seafood and we found it a good place to relax for a few hours. Good service and has a private beach, though we arrived only for lunch and didn't try to go to that beach. Good white wine list too. We would definitely come again.
La Fontelina didn’t disappoint from the minute we were helped on board their special boat to the moment we left to catch the ferry back to Naples. Sun drenched terraces full of affluent Italians enjoying the last days of summer. The lunch was perfect for 2 people in a hurry to catch the last rays. Squid and swordfish. And don’t forget to try the Caprese salad. Very charming staff too.
The longer you stay, the better your position. If you're in Capri for a few days, Fontelina is the most gorgeous spot to be, but be prepared to pay for it. The food is delicious but not cheap. The views are stunning. Fontelina has a better position compared to Da Luigi next door which loses the sun early. We came for three days and loved it but we did feel bad seeing day trippers being given mediocre spots for the same money, so be warned.
Great beach club on Capri by the Faraglioni cliffs. My favorite is the linguini “Fontelina” with a lot of shellfish. Very nice to lounge around all day on a sunbed and swim from the cliffs. Beware that it’s quite expensive. We paid around €450 for full day with sunbeds and lunch for 4 persons.
We did not feel welcome at all. For me it seemed more like a tourist attraction without tourist attraction itself. The way by walk was beautiful. But that’s pretty it. Staff was not helpful at all and gave us the most terrible place to lay down, with a look on the bridge. I ask them to change but they say as reserved for the guests who stay longer. And who always visit La Florentina. If its the way that is work there I would never ever would visit this place again. We had a lunch there. The food was 4 stars from 5 and we leave this place. It is not the way you treat guests, this people have not a lot idea about hospitality. Sorry La Fontelina. Never ever again.
