Knowing nothing of the Jewish religion, I found the visit to the two synagogues very interesting and thanks to the local guides willing to answer visitors' questions, I learned something about a people so persecuted. Definitely a corner of Venice to visit for those who are thirsty for knowledge.

The Great German Schola (Scuola Grande Tedesca), built in 1527-1528, is the oldest Jewish synagogue in the Jewish quarter of Venice and belongs to Ashkenazi Jews from Germany. The luxurious Baroque style synagogue shows that the friends are very rich. The lecture hall turned out not to be against the wall, but in the middle. Tickets need to buy a guided itinerary from the Jewish Museum, and you can also see the Canton Synagogue corner hall and the Levantine Schola
