Farmacia Operti

It is one of the 24 sixteenth-century Collegiate pharmacies in the city and has been located here on the corner of Via Vanchiglia since 1830. The marble portal is elegant and neoclassical: two fluted pilasters with Ionic base and capital surmounted by an architrave with the bronze characters of the sign. The portal is closed with wooden doors, with an accordion. The interior, always in neoclassical style, has gilding and the furnishings are topped by a curved and protruding frame in gilded wood: there is a stylized shell, the Aesculapius vase between snakes, a compass clock and two winged figures. Also worth seeing are the apothecary jars and albarelli from various eras, as well as the chandelier. The staff is kind. They accept Satispay as a method of payment.
