The territory that currently belongs to this parish has variously fluctuated within the curia of Piolo and Sologno. Later, as a parish, it belonged to Carù. Before the visit of Pallavicini in 1456, a chapel was erected in the territory of Carù, dedicated to St. Peter. From 1475 to 1564 it was aggregated to Caprile. Preserves on the façade a valuable icon in Carrara marble bearing the words "Berto di Pietro ... 1647".
