Born first as a Marian shrine, then transformed into a sanctuary and finally into a hermitage, the building was built high up on a rocky spur. The original aedicule was renovated in the second half of the fourteenth century and was enlarged in 1728; the attached hermitage has recently been rebuilt. The church with a single nave, with a gable roof, preserves the ancient fourteenth-century apse full of interesting frescoes.

Currently inhabited by the House of Nazareth Fraternity ... a stop is recommended not for leisure or picnics, but to exchange a word and a prayer with the local religious. Great for those looking for spaces for spirituality and opportunities for discernment ...
