I bought a brand new computer in January 2020 for €2700 and it died in August. I lost all my data. I asked for the broken part to be returned to me because it's not the HD that is broken, it's the logic board. They seem to be unwilling to return the broken part to me. I believe I can send it off to a company to get restored. Note: Customer service was great for the sales and the staff was friendly. But I am extremely unhappy with the quality of Apple hardware and the fact that these days data can be unrecoverable (or they're unwilling due to the expensive process) because another part of the computer gave up. Also note, Macbook Pro Laptops heat up like crazy. I have spoken to Apple support about this many times. There was another Apple laptop that died on me before I had to buy this one and it had the same issue of heating up to the point where you can't keep it on your lap anymore. My guess is that they focus too much on making the computer smaller/thinner and the components heat up when doing intensive work like video editing. I also have a third Macbook which has had issues from day one, known issues with the keyboard etc. that were never solved. I want to be done with Apple products altogether, I asked for a refund, or extended warranty, because we all know that even if this is fixed, when I get it back it will die again but probably right after the warranty expired.

IN A FEW SPEAKS AND THEY ARE RUDE ALWAYS DEFEND, DO NOT ACCEPT REALITY, IN THE SENSE THEY DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR FAULT.

Congratulations for professionalism and speed in repairs, I brought an iPhone XR for assistance with a replacement of the Display and in two days it was ready and like new ... certainly at the same level as Apple's official assistance.
