Oratorio della Beata Vergine Maria al Muraglione

A wonderful little church ... where our grandparents built it piece by piece with a lot of love ... and still in the various parties ... you still feel that atmosphere of a small hamlet ... like a big family❤❤

The oratory has a rectangular plan and a double-layered roof and is made up of a reinforced concrete bearing structure and curtain walls in exposed bricks. The materials and techniques used are typical of industrial construction in the second half of the 1900s. The building does not present significant architectural characteristics. The plan of the oratory is rectangular, without an apse. The façade is a gable, made of exposed brick for industrial production. The only opening present is the entrance door. Above it, a cross-shaped non-cross slot replaces the rose window. The load-bearing structure is similar to that of a small industrial warehouse, that is a reinforced concrete frame with exposed brick bricks. The roof has a load-bearing structure in reinforced concrete with metal chains, covered in perforated boards and finished in bituminous sheath. At the main façade there is a metallic cross that incorporates the one on the front. The floor is ceramic tiles.
