Chiesa dei Caduti o del Suffragio

The Church of the Fallen or Suffrage (or Sant'Antonio) is a monument of interest to Comacchio. The construction of the structure dates back to 1644, and currently houses the remains of some citizens who fell during the first and second world war. Inside you can admire a splendid triptych arranged behind the altar, of which the central painting depicts the Madonna with Child, Saint Anthony and the souls of purgatory and was built at the beginning of the seventeenth century by Antonio Randa. The side panels represent a procession of souls and an Angel that draws a soul from Purgatory, painted in the seventeenth century by an unknown author.
