As every year I spend the weekends and a holiday at Lido degli Scacchi. Saturday 29/06/2019 I attended the Pre-Sunday Mass at 7.00 pm. The pastor came with 15 minutes late; no justification in respect of those present; I understand that it was due to force majeure. What about the 35 minute homily? I fell asleep; on waking, turning my gaze, I noticed several faithful with their heads bowed. Is it possible that the priest did not notice it? Being in the first banks, I made more gestures to cut and show clock but in vain. Then I would like to remind you that the Holy Mass is not theater, show but something more serious. Prolonged bow, the words used for the consecration by melodrama, whispered with tones of theatrical suffering, the elevation of the host and the glass so long that I had the intervention of the assistant to support his arms. No dear don, in my humble opinion of a man of 72, this is not liturgy. I believe that every priest, reflecting on the greatness of the priestly ministry, recognizes that he is inadequate to the task that God has entrusted to him and feels the need to be supported by the community of the faithful; certainly, I think, is the right way to listen. At 8.10 pm, during the communion, I followed several faithful towards the exit also because they were waiting for me at dinner. Church of reference for the two shores: Pomposa and Chess. Located right on the border that divides the two beaches, it is very convenient for both elderly and disabled. A few years ago with air conditioning that makes the time spent in it even more comfortable.

Modern church open for tourists during the summer season. It includes a Mass even at 9 pm.

Cozy, an enlightened pastor who allows extra church initiatives but in favor of the church, organizes the "grandparents' day" every year with a wonderful burraco for charity.
