The Romanesque church of San Giovanni Battista is inserted in the cemetery complex of Apagni, a fraction of the municipality of Sellano, and has been completely renovated following the latest earthquakes. Built between 1300 and 1600, it has a simple gabled façade characterized, on the central axis, by a portal with an archivolt and a simple oculus above. The external appearance, such as the presence of spurs on the cantonals, denies repeated and subsequent reconstructions following as many seismic events. The main body is supported by three other elements: the sacristy (rebuilt) on the back, the bell gable and a small chapel (contemporary) on the right side.
