Norcineria "Lupo Solitario"

Alfio has been serving the best of Umbrian charcuterie and cheese for over 50 years. I often look back at the summers I spent in Umbria, and Alfio's shop is right there as one of my dearest memories. This is more of a locals' spot—you won't find crowds of tourists lining up—but if you are visiting I'd make sure to stop by this place, either to pick up something to bring back home or to ask him to make you a sandwich with aged pecorino and prosciutto crudo.

The temple of cured meats

We stopped by me and a friend of mine who knows the area well. We bought a 2 year aged pecorino of a unique goodness. As he opened the form, he offered us a tasting accompanied by a good red wine. I recommend to everyone if you pass by there stop, it's worth it. Thanks good man.

Well-stocked shop with typical Valnerina cold cuts and cheeses. Coffee always offered to customers by the owner and free Wi-Fi! For over 50 years managed by the legendary Alfio, along the Valnerina road in Cerreto di Spoleto, it boasts of the fact that tourists always stop to taste some delicacies, such as truffles, wild boar salami, ciauscolo and various cheeses.
