Beautiful location... enjoy the hair raising taxi journey through the impossible narrow streets to a little oasis... Staff are all pretty and friendly... we picked a pool side room... which was nice enough.. not spotless and a little fusty smell, air con unit leaking across the floor.. terrace area wasn't very clean... Pool and pool bar area was beautiful, breakfast was sparse and a little disappointing for 5⭐️ I would expect more given the cost...

We stayed 4 nights in June for a relaxing break and it was exactly what we wanted! The staff were so friendly and helpful (special mention to Salvatore who could not have been any more accommodating and helpful at the pool and we loved his cocktails). All the staff were extremely friendly, the hotel was clean and well maintained gardens. What isn't mentioned but was extremely useful was that the hotel has its own shuttle service for €3 per person which was really useful at night when taking us to some of the local restaurants (ask at reception for recommendations - Friday / Saturday were very busy so ensure to pre book). The driver Agostino also stopped off on the way to dinner to share some of the lovely views of the island which were stunning. Would highly recommend this hotel as the staff really did go the way extra mile to make our stay so relaxing. We were thinking of treating ourselves for a massage but thought the prices were quite expensive at the Spa

I will say our stay was ruined from the moment we arrived. However once settled in the remainder of the stay was fine. Reading the reviews online, and reviewing there website we were anticipating a 5 Star stay with services to match. This is what we got... We called the morning of our arrival to arrange a pickup from Napoli Centrale Tain Station. The Hotel staffer on the phone informed us that we must get a taxi or metro to the ferry station, then they would provide transportation from the ferry station to the hotel. Which was fine, but we understood from the website they provided transportation from the train station, but no issue we can manage that. Upon the Ferry arrival they had a van waiting to take us to the hotel. They loaded our bags and drove us to the hotel. Exchanged brief hellos but no conversation or explanation of the island. Which was ok, I understand we don't speak Italian and the driver may not have spoken English. Upon arrival at reception however is where it real issues began. Turns out the receptionist rode with us in the van ride from the Ferry. So the hotel seemed completely in unprepared for our arrival. Even though we called at 10:30am for our 3:30pm arrival. Again the receptionist greated us, took our information and passports and then seemingly could not find our key. At which point she excused herself and left is standing in reception for 15-20 minutes. Upon her re appearance she escorted us to our room, the driver left our bags for us to carry down the stairs to our room. When we got to our room the key the receptionist spent 15 minutes finding didn't work. Another 15 to 20 minutes later she reappeared with another key, meanwhile we just stood at the door with our bags. Surprisingly that key also didn't work. So she started to leave again to find another key that may work, at which point we requested another room that they have a key for. She agreed left and brought the working key for the adjacent room. Relieved and frustrated we out or bags down and tried to settle in. In doing so we checked out the room to find the shower door support was seemingly fixed with black electrical tape (pictured), there was a lamp plugged fixed with white electrical tape, and the bathroom had soap scum in the shower and did not feel as if it had been cleaned recently, on top of this the internet did not work. Even more frustrated we decided to leave the hotel for a walk and informed hotel staff the internet in our room didn't work. Two hours later we returned, enquired about the internet which we were told now worked and went back to our room. Upon entering we noticed for the first time the heat of the room, and noticed the internet still did not work. We called up to reception to enquire about the internet and inform the the air conditioning did not appear to work. Their service came down got the internet to work and proceed to remove the thermostat and work in the air conditioning. We decided at this point to go to dinner and hopefully come back to a repaired room. After dinner, about 2 1/2 hours, we stopped at reception and asked if the room was fixed. We were told it was not and that they were moving us to a third room, but it wasn't ready yet and they would let us know when I'm was. At this point it was 10:30pm. Finally at about 11:00pm they helped us move or bags to the third room. This room was in much better state than the previous and appear have been much better cared for. The rest of the stay was uneventful, but did not to the five star rating, and hotel literature describes. Breakfast was ok. We are dinner at the hotel restaurant which was good, but no one else was I the restaurant at it was very intimate. At checkout we expected to hotel to apologise for our experience by discounting or rate however they didn't even acknowledge this and tried to bill us the full rate. At this point we complained that this was not acceptable. They claimed because we booked through Expedia and not the hotel directly they were unable to discount or stay. Instead they discounted their shuttle from the ferry
