Camping Valle Stretta

Bad management! The new managers joined in July 2018 and the campsite has been a construction site for 2 years, without seeing the end of the works. The bar / restaurant should have been open in January 2020, but still nothing (October 2020). They promised us for December 2020, but no one has been working for months. Managers are untraceable. Impossible to talk to someone to find out the status of the work. On the other hand, they are punctual in asking for the full rent, when the campsite is half-functioning (to be generous !!!) In April, part of the campsite caught fire and we discovered that the fire protection system was not working, when the owners assured us that everything was up to standard in January. From complaint! Avoid it if you can!

So far I have read reviews that are a bit too good for this campsite, I guess they are only campers who do not live what belongs to us permanent. Two years that they have under the new management, a construction site whose end is not in sight, also because they do not work there ... A lot of work done, redone and even bad! They worked in July and August but only to welcome campers, of us permanent residents ONLY remember when it is time to send the invoices with the request for payment: the ugliest and most expensive campsite ever. Beautiful frame, but that was already there, indeed, the aforementioned are ruining it with the continuous cutting of trees. There is no bar, no restaurant, no wifi: the minimum to ask for the fee imposed. In September, no one worked and also on pest control, in the middle of the COVID period there would be much, much to say. To the lady so pleasantly surprised because from the gate you can make bike rides on the path, I say that the GATE must be closed! But anyway: even the complete fence is missing. To campers I say: it gets better !!!

Area in an excellent position, above Bardonecchia at the mouth of the Vallée Étroite, ideal for those who love walking or mountain biking. It is a good starting point for various excursions, even a gate leads directly to the pedestrian path to the Valle Stretta and Bardonecchia can also be reached on the path. The area is new and the very courteous managers are working hard to refine some small "inaccuracies" already found in some reviews and to create a mini market restaurant and bar that will be really useful. I put 4 stars for the room for improvement but I'm sure that next stay I will be able to put 5!

Large pitches, you can open the awning but not fix it, the ground does not allow it and beware of the wind. Hot water, toilets, everything available, Rear employees very kind, courteous and helpful. Under construction, but not bad, free shuttle, luckily because far from the center. It would take a grocery store and a small bar.

Camping undergoing a total makeover. Difficult to evaluate now. Surely beautiful location, in the middle of nature and the silence of the mountains with only the sound of the river that crosses it. Great potential. We hope it will be exploited to the maximum.
