Oratorio della Beata Vergine di Pompei

Small oratory located at the foot of the Bardi castle, in a place known as "Fratta". It was built around 1891 as a vote by Giuseppe Mazzocchi called "Pinö", on land donated by Caterina Zucchi Bertucci to which he miraculously healed a daughter. For the realization they turned to the master builder Domenico Branchi, who also made the stucco decorations of the dome and the high altar; the building was completed two years later. The sober interior holds the sculptural group of the Madonna del Rosario between San Domenico and Santa Caterina da Siena. Even today, on May 8, the statue of the Madonna is carried in procession.
