Chiesa di San Donnino Martire

The church is very beautiful. According to tradition, he was martyred in the city of Fidenza on 9 October 299. He was probably a soldier in the service of Emperor Massimiano Erculeo, for whom he had an important job even though unknown to us. According to the bas-reliefs of the Cathedral of Fidenza which narrate its history, he would have been dismissed from his post because of his conversion to Christianity, he was later persecuted and finally pursued and reached by order of the Emperor along the banks of the Stirone stream and on that beheaded place.
