The manager is just plain incompetent and rude. We asked for a takeaway of three pasta dishes. She gave us a takeaway aluminium tray with no plates or forks. I did tell her the pasta was for my children not my dog. I also explained to her that the previous year she did have plastic boxes and cutlery, but she invented a ridiculous excuse about that. At that point I asked for a favour: some normal plates and forks. She refused, even knowing I had children to feed. Eventually a passerby who heard the conversation lent some of his cutlery to us, so we could actually give the food to our children. Needless to say that offering a takeaway service but not providing the boxes and cutlery is absurd. Later on she also refused to let us pay another transaction by card, claiming a minimum amount of €15, otherwise cash only. This goes against Italian law (cards are normal currency and must be accepted for any amount) and against the most recent European law. She will definitely see nearly no more of us for the rest of our holiday, amounting to an estimates loss (for her business) of €450. Congratulations for running a business so well. EDIT (after manager’s response): The manager’s response represents the very reason why customer care is something unheard of in some parts of Italy. Her response translated is: “It’s your fault not mine”. 1. I didn’t complain about the fact that the tray was in aluminium but about the lack of cutlery. 2. If yours is not a takeaway restaurant, how come you have takeaway boxes handy? You can’t even lie properly. 3. If your restaurant doesn’t do takeaway, you shouldn’t give anything away, instead of offering a partial service. If you sell me food to take away it follows that you must provide a way to eat it. 4. The excuse I mentioned was about te plastic stuff. Last year I came for two weeks, and for two weeks I ordered take away stuff, and I always got boxes and cutlery with it. So you lied about the plastic things. 5. Of course, typical Italian, you had to get personal due to lack of argument to defend your indefensible position. Now we’re bad parents, too. But clearly, based on point 4 above, I assumed you’d do the same this year. Also, if you were a professional, you wouldn’t have sold offered a partial takeaway service. If you said upfront we don’t do this service, I’d have taken a table. Or ordered something else. 6. Regarding the card, that’s just a risible response. Cards must be accepted. Full stop. Your line of reasoning may work with the Italian mindset. Not with mine.

Beautiful place!! Really pretty! The service was good, the food as well. They tried to understand us ordering in italien, even though our italien is more or less aweful :) we went there twice!

I do not know if it is the right space but I would like to thank the lifeguard Gabriele who today, August 30, 2020, rescued me in the water after being sucked by an undertow current. My deep and sincere thanks go to him and to the other guys from the sailing school who were with him to help me. You guys are exceptional !!!

The star refers only to the sandwich kiosk as we have not been to the restaurant. 6 euros for a packaged and roughly heated focaccia (the inside was still frozen). Slow service even though there were only 2 other couples before us. With difficulty they greeted us.
