The church was created during the construction of the urban area developed along the road, during the active existence of the old and large brick and ceramic factory called "fornace Antonelli", now reduced to ruins of industrial archeology, about just under a mile to the east. The small church, better defined as very small, as it is slightly larger than a sacred aedicule, has been slightly enlarged a few decades ago, serving as a country chapel, dedicated to the Madonna della Mercede, architecturally in modern style. Nowadays, every Saturday afternoon, a priest celebrates Mass for the parishioners who live in the village. Interesting remains a building in the back of the church, entirely made of bricks in Marches, reddish brick, similar to the bricks used in the houses of the capital city of Potenza Picena, make us suppose to ancient manufacture of the building, perhaps a small and longline farm house already existing in the 18th century Moreover, the portal of the house is also fascinating architecturally, with a round arch and bordered by a simple brick frame, which makes this country house perhaps one of the most singular of the municipal territory, perhaps also the historical landmark of all the fraction of Casette Antonelli, since the rest of the houses are in contemporary minimalist-cubist style mixed with parallelepipedism and rectangle of the 90s. Today, the village is in the territory called Panperduto, a district of the Parish of San Girio, so much so that in the medieval parade of May 25, patronal feast of the French saint, the white-orange banner with the terracotta ceramic roof is and represents the heraldry of the village, present with the various districts of the parish of San Girio.
