Beautiful little town. You have to visit the museum too

Pollina. A small village perched on the high Madonie offers its visitors a wonderful view of the Aeolian Islands, of Cefalù and its fortress and moving the gaze inwards you can observe from above Castelbuono surrounded by the Alte Madonie (Piano Imperiale) still sprinkled with snow. But visiting the Borgo there are other jewels to be enjoyed: the Mother Church dedicated to Saints John and Paul with the works of Gagini from his school and even his father's Bald Madonna, the most beautiful of which is the Nativity chapel, rightly called unique in the world . The Church, barely visible between the houses of the village, opens up in all its beauty and with its unexpected treasures. Beautiful on the altar the wooden representation of the Holy Trinity. From the small square in front there is a small procession led by a young couple who recall the foundation of the village with the Arab vizier Ayub and Donna Pollina followed by the roll of drums of young pages. On the occasion of the wild boar festival (8 April 2018) the village comes alive in many of its corners with the ricottaro, u pani cunsatu, u vino cotto, donna Maria di li Cuddureddi. The Municipality also organizes the menu with ragù and wild boar sausage accompanied by good wine at the base of the Castle Tower where there is the amphitheater called Pietra Rosa. Do not miss the Manna Museum where you can taste the small cannoli of manna.
