The Church of Sant'Eufemia is located about halfway along Via Barbiani. It was built between 1742 and 1747 to a design by the architect Buonamici, the same who designed the Duomo, on the foundations of an older early Christian temple that legend attributes to the first apostolate of Sant'Apollinare. The building, with a central plan with three altars, is today the entrance to the visit of the important archaeological site, called Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra.
