Church of Saint Mary 'del Torrione'

From the eighteenth century, built between 1728 and 1730 on the remains of an ancient late-fifteenth-century bastion of the city walls, called Torre Zancana, by the Venetian podestà Andrea Zancan. The Church was completely rebuilt in 1789 following the dismantling of the previous structure, leaving intact the side chapels and the finely decorated apse by Domenico Barbiani (1714-1777). The remains of the marble barbacans are still visible, in memory of the ancient circular tower. The church of 1700 has preserved the pine tablet of the Madonna del Sudore before it was moved to the Duomo: today the cult remains rooted in the church, where a reproduction of the icon has long been placed.

It's worth trying to get in, but you can do it only on Saturday at 6pm or on Sunday morning for mass, otherwise you'll find it closed. It is located on the ancient walls and should be restored. I do not know why but continue to want to keep it as "inaccessible"
