Church of Saints Peter and Paul

There was a small oratorio in Copparo since the 10th century. It was located in a wetland known as the "bird hunt place". Another church building from 1133 was destroyed by the numerous Po floods and rebuilt in 1581. The current church and bell tower date from 1813. After the bombing, the bell tower was restored in the same elegance and made it a characteristic bell tower of the area. Parrocchiale dei Santi Pietro e Paolo impresses with a simple facade, a portico with three arches, separated by pilasters and squares and a tympanum at the end. Two altarpieces by Scarsellino can be seen.

Inside the bell tower of the cathedral of Copparo there are the commemorative plaques of the victims (almost children and women) of the American bombing ... which today they call the "liberators" ... a prayer for these poor victims. Amen
