Small church with surprisingly rich and detailed splendor.

The church of Santa Maria Maddalena is located in the main street of the historic center of Castiglione del Lago near the Porta Senese. The building dates back to the 11th century and after several expansions and renovations took on its current appearance, that is a temple in neoclassical style. The bell tower is in red brick and almost strident with the ancient appearance of the church. The interior of the church is decorated with some works of art, including the Madonna del Latte and La cena di Emmaus. Nothing unforgettable but still worth a visit.
