Visited Porto Venere and didn't expect having trouble finding a parking lot. Boy, were we wrong. It was a sunny weekday and all the locals seemed to be heading to Porto Venere that day. Hence all the parking spots and lots closer to town were full. Since we've been planning on having a walk along the shore anyways we chose to park our car here, a bit outside of town in the north. It belongs to a Hotel/Condo/Beach complex, but has a public parking section. Get the ticket and pay when you leave. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but then it's a very safe parking lot. Not much shade though...your car will heat up. From here it's a nice and easy stroll along the water to Porto Venere. Surely a good option if you don't need to park as close as possible to town.
