This Church is really special because it contains important historical memories of the 20th century. The key figure was Don Armando Durighetto (1912-2012). Beloved by his faithful parishioners so much that they built him a monument tomb right inside the Church.
Don Armando, at the age of almost 6 years, witnessed the death of over 20,000 soldiers on the Piave. From that terrible experience came the desire to remember the victims with an altar and several works of art that can be admired in Caposile.
