S. Stefano a Montevecchio

Church with attached parish house used for retreats and school camps. The religious building was clearly rebuilt in the 20th century; the adjoining house allows you to read an original ancient structure, but profoundly restructured and varied in modern times. Farmhouse with a parish church (S. Stefano a Monte Vecchio) in the Jurisdiction Community and about 4 Tuscan miles as a monster of the Rocca S. Casciano, Diocese of Bertinoro, Compartment of Florence. This mountain constituting the portion of a spur of the Apennines that separates the Montone Valley from that of the Rabbi, had on its back a small castle, which was the lordship of the Counts Guidi, confirmed to them by the imperial diplomas of Arrigo VI (year 1191) and of Federigo II (year 1220 and 1247). His people submitted to the Rep. Fior. by public deed of 20 September 1440 with the obligation to present every year on the day of the feast of St. John a prize of 4 gold florins. (Omitted ...)
