After a short but steep climb ... the hermitage was closed. However, a complex literally attached to the rocky wall from which you can enjoy a wonderful view over the city of Gubbio. It seems to touch them with your hand so close they are. The historical information of the hermitage dates back to the year 1331, the year in which it was built or restored and the Bishop Eugubino, Pietro Gabrielli, erected it as a priory after having gathered all the hermits scattered around Gubbio; later in 1342 the same Bishop gave the Rule of St. Augustine to the hermits, elevating said priory into a Monastery

Going up to the hermitage, you can admire a megalithic wall about fifty meters long, right on the path. also on the other side of the valley you can see a similar wall, this also in polygonal form.

Beautiful complex from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the district of S. Martino

It was closed without a sign with timetables .... after a nice climb on foot !!!
