The church was built in the years following the Second World War, in the middle of the countryside, dedicated to San Giorgio Martire. It was a single simple liturgical hall. In 1970 the town grew so much to become a fraction of Serrastretta (CZ). The mayor then accepted the citizens' requests to restructure the Church. In 1975 the portico and the bell tower were built.
The church is characterized by a simple gabled façade, with a small arcade. Behind is the bell tower with a beautiful clock. It has a nave with a flat ceiling, it is illuminated by artistic windows. The back wall of the presbytery is characterized by a wonderful celestial mosaic, in the center is depicted Saint George, on the sides the face of Jesus and the Madonna. The church is currently part of the parish of San Giuseppe in Angoli of Serrastretta, which includes this church, the Church of the Immaculate of Migliuso and the Church of San Giuseppe in Angoli. The treasure of the Church and of the whole Gate is the statue of San Giorgio Martire, depicted in the act of killing the dragon, carried in procession on the first Sunday after April 23rd, with a truly extraordinary fireworks display.
