The place is a charm, a series of natural terraces overlooking the sea, expertly cared for by the hands of Nino and his collaborators. In front, the fantastic scenery offered by Punta Matrella and a little further away, from the island of Santo Janni. The descent to the sea is made easy by comfortable ladders. In a moment you are in the water, and what a water; crystalline, it highlights the beauty of the seabed and its Posidonia, queen of the healthy sea. Nearby is the Sciabella cave, which like other coastal caves in Maratea, has an opening on the top. You can stand up very well, as inside the cave there is a lovely black sand beach (almost all the beaches in that stretch of coast are famous for this particular color of the sand). This wonderful solarium can be reached by taking the junction that descends from the SS18 state road towards Macarro, Ilicini and Spiaggia Nera. After Marina di Maratea for those coming from the South by car, first for those coming from the North. Alternatively, the nearest railway station is Marina di Maratea.

Lovely place. Recommended for people looking for a quiet place to read a book under an umbrella without being disturbed by screams and noises. The panorama that can be enjoyed is breathtaking. The structure has a large area equipped with tables in the shade of the luxuriant vegetation, excellent if you want to have lunch during the hottest hours. You can bring your own food and order drinks at the kiosk. The Lucanian beer is excellent. From the solarium you can go down to the sea with a ladder set among the rocks, or you can reach the black beach with a shaded path in the woods and then go down with a comfortable staircase to the sea, take a bath and then return to the solarium. In this way you can enjoy the tranquility, the shade and the panorama of the solarium but also of the black beach. Not recommended for those with children.
