l'Associazione Cattolica Internazionale al Servizio della Giovane. 1897: The International Catholic Youth Service Association (Acisjf) was born in Friborg, Switzerland, under the name "Italian Catholic Youth Defense Opera." 1902: it was transported to Italy by people of the Catholic, aristocratic, bourgeois and cultural origin of the city of the beginning of the century. Today: the association is formulated at national and local level and is included in various specific churches and diocesan bodies. A national assistant is appointed by CEI, who also approves the association’s charter, and local assistants are appointed by their respective bishops.
