Beautiful, peaceful church..unfortunately bad memories for me seen I buried someone I loved..service held in that church..
Beautiful interior with numerous important works of art.
The Cathedral of Città della Pieve located between Piazza Gramsci and Plebiscito, the most central squares of the city. The church has a very ancient history (4th-5th century) which then underwent several style changes over the years. The whole is majestic, beautiful and with many very important works of art such as Perugino's paintings. Also interesting is the crypt which houses a small museum of sacred objects.
A beautiful, very large church that contains many works of art, including some works by "Perugino" (Pietro Vannucci) and "Pomarancio" (Antonio Circignani). Under the altar, from a side entrance, you can access the crypt created on the old ruins of Etruscan Roman civil buildings. The huge columns of this ancient building are still clearly visible, after a virtuous recovery of those spaces.
A fundamental stop during a visit to Città della Pieve, the religious heart of the city, where you can breathe the presence of the Perugian, the divine painter.
