The Chapel is located behind the Cathedral of the SS Annunziata in Todi, it is a jewel of the Baroque era even if the site was already used by the population as above all as a refuge for calamities and plagues, consecrated to the Church and dedicated to the Madonna, Nunziatina was named as the most important catholic monuments of the city, someone says that it is not possible to take photos, but I visited it on a very quiet day I was the only one, I asked permission from those who took care of the site and I was allowed to do it

The Church of the Nunziatina is located at the end of Via del Seminario, in a small square on the right, and is the most interesting artistic example of the Baroque style. It was built around 1600, and opened for worship in 1613. It was the seat of the Compagnia della Numziatina, a work of mercy, an institution handed down to this day. The members of the company, wearing a cream-colored robe surmounted by a light blue cloak, usually parade in the proceissioni, supporting the car of the Madonna or other saints. It is a Marian church, with a single nave with eight side chapels. It is entirely frescoed by important artists from 1600 to 1700, the predominant theme is that of the life of the Madonna. The church recalls the rigorous Baroque style of some Roman churches and is called the small Sistine Chapel, it can be visited every day, except on Mondays.

Simplesmente incrível! Uma igreja bem pequena e que vc ainda tem que pagar 2 euros para entrar, mas as pinturas que você encontra nas paredes é algo de outro mundo! Uma das melhores surpresas de Todi!!!
