The small church of San Giovanni is a place of great charm that remains in the memory of tourists who are lucky enough to visit it. It is located in the homonymous square inside the walls, adjacent to the main door. Outside the building is integrated into the buildings of the square and its harmony follows, but the two beautiful stone portals portend a "treasure" of beauty inside. And in fact the small room is richly frescoed with works from the second half of the 16th century by Giuseppe Bastiani from Macerata. The paintings illustrate the life of the saint. The main fresco at the center of the vault depicting the baptism of Saint John and the beautiful altarpiece representing the martyrdom, still by Bastiani, are very impressive. The two baroque altars can also be admired.
