Arts cinema with the possibility of a small aperitif at the bar at the entrance. The area deserves (it is in full via chiaia) and is surrounded by interesting little bars. Take the opportunity to see films in Room 3, in two-seater chairs: it looks like a home cinema!
Massimo Napolitano (01/14/2020)
Cinema consisting of three rooms: a large one with almost 300 seats (room 1 Rossellini) and two smaller ones with 55-60 seats (room 2 Magnani and room 3 Mastroianni). Even the small rooms are on average better than the rooms of other Neapolitan cinemas adapted to multiplexes. There are, however, some flaws. 1. One case and then queue on peak days. 2. Rude cashier who claimed that I had printed the Vodafone Exclusive ticket, when by regulation it is necessary to show it from the smartphone screen (he threatened me that in the future he will never let me in). 3. Number of bathrooms definitely insufficient on peak days and very long line! 4. Room 3 Mastroianni located below the street level and where you are isolated by phone (cell phones must be kept silent, but I want to be reachable in case of emergency).

Discreet niche cinema for those who want to alternate the blockbusters of the moment with auteur films and more '' demanding '' ones. Room 1 is welcoming and spacious, the other two ... forget it. A strongly negative note, the presence of old people, especially women, shameless and peasants even though they belong to the alleged "good Naples", who chat and laugh out of proportion for the duration of the film. Avoid Saturday and Sunday.

Cinema with a capital C. Finally, I found that professional, courteous, competent, but at the same time warm atmosphere that I ALWAYS look for in a cinema, together with excellent customer service. It would not seem like a cinema from the outside, but one of the many buildings that mark via Filangieri. Inside, however, you are in a beautiful marble atrium, with a box office on one side, armchairs on the other and a bar counter in the center. No popcorn for this cinema. At most fries or M & Ms, so you are absolutely not seized by the smell (for some, really ugly) of the "American" pop corn butter. Room 1, also called Rossellini, is the largest, with excellent sound and audio, and very comfortable armchairs. Unfortunately I have not yet been in rooms 2 and 3 (Magnani and Mastroianni), but I know they are much smaller than 1. Alas, it is the reality of "small" cinemas that add smaller rooms to "compete" with large multiplexes. I'm not a fan of small rooms, but to be honest, given the excellent quality of the cinema, they can also have 10 seats on the cross: I DON'T MATTER! You are great anyway! The bathrooms are very clean and well kept, really good. Last note, in my opinion to keep in mind if you are going to choose this cinema: the interval is not given. On the one hand it is a positive thing, since you can enjoy the film in a single pull and without interruptions. But on the other hand, someone may feel the need to disconnect for a few minutes, or go to the bathroom for a moment (which is not to be overlooked!) But for me it is a mole. The interval at the cinema today is more of a European use, and above all an Italian one. If they succeed in the rest of the world, who says we can't do it too? Given only the three theaters, the film cannot offer a very wide programming, and focuses above all on particularly sought-after films, keeping them on the bill even for a considerable period (at least, that's what I noticed). You will not find the blockbuster on duty, but see it as an opportunity to experience something different, and attend a fabulous cinema and take a walk after watching the buildings of Via Filangieri and the nearby Via de Mille and Via Chiaia. Five deserved stars.
