When in Riamaggoire you can check out this pretty 14th century Church of Saint John the Baptist on your way up or down the hill. It was originally constructed in 1340 and had some renovation work completed in the 1800s.

This is a must stop at Riomaggiore. From the church patio you have a breathtaking view of the entire town. From here you can take a glass elevator to a higher street for still more great views.

Its such a hike up there but when I went there was no one. Nature, beautiful views, quiet. Take your time and enjoy. Take pictures. A less trodden beautiful walk.

The location is fantastic. Hard to get there very high stairs but the view totally worth it. In the night time the streets are full of lights which makes a good atmosphere. Many people hang in the square next to the church and locals stay till the late ours of the night and can help you in anything needed
