I am on vacation with my husband and the 13-month-old girl at an Acciaroli resort, my baby for two days showed fever (37.7-38) and a cold. Given that so many complaints with crying and lack of appetite, I wanted to exclude having infections like otitis and laryngitis so I go to the reception of the resort to ask for assistance and they tell me: "Look, ma'am, they will never come here to assist you." Ok, that's fine, I wrap my daughter in blankets, I drive with my husband and we go. Arriving in the village we ask for directions and everyone is already laughing as soon as we mention the Medical Guard, and with strange comments: "the medical guard? And they won't visit you, not at all, no go there, ma'am." Well my husband and I do not give much weight and we go there, arrived we find an abandoned building, without doors, I can not even describe it so absurd degradation seemed to me to be back 50 years, there is a doctor (maybe ) very annoyed young man (it is August 11 and 10:30 pm) I understand maybe he would like to stay on vacation but anyway I am stunned by all this. I sit and tell her that I would like to visit my daughter 13 months with a fever at 38 and she says "But I am not a pediatrician" I tell her ok, she can look at my throat and her ears at least and she no ears no, I don't have the right tool "I am even more shocked, my throat at least? You even more annoyed take a plastic spoon, I repeat a white plastic spoon, rinsed to the best, use the light of the cell phone for the light, then cell phone and plastic spoon in mouth to my daughter, the spoon putting pressure, because my daughter was resisting it breaks the risk of cutting her tongue.I and my distraught husband we take our daughter from the hands of this sort of doctor, I continue but excuse me not using the sticks of wood and the doctor says: no end and no one orders them. I never, I repeat, ever witnessed such degradation, starting from the non-existent structure (4 walls raised without doors, no stretchers, no bathrooms, no doctors, no nurses) we were in Africa my husband and I were young and my husband was assisted 10 times better. I would like to denounce what happened but I do not know how to move because I repeat we are unfortunately only upset what we were at the non-existent medical guard in Acciaroli can understand. Sorry again I was very long, but I hope I managed to convey the feelings of horror and anger that I felt seeing this crap. Fortunately my baby is fine, but if it was something serious I don't know how it would end. Mayor and inhabitants of Acciaroli do something !!
