First of Stellar is what I have to say about the shop owner, she was just awesome! Her hosipitity and graciousness truly appreciated. Not only did she offer some fabulous wines, her cheese board came with 25 year old balsamic vinegar! I mean come on!!! She knew her wines, and information that was going to be of interest to us. At no point did we feel we had to buy any of the wines (we did buy the balsamic vinegar ) ! So glad we decided to go to Ravello instead as an option on our amalfi coast tour!

Lovely service and good free wine tastings, but unfortunately extortionate prices. I'm sure you can source these cheaper elsewhere. The wines were great, but did not taste as much as the prices that were quoted at around 80 Euros a bottle.

If buying wine in Ravello, be warned of Wine & Drugs! Don't be fooled by the cute shop and lovely conversation offered by Stella and her staff. They'll provide tastings of several wines and offer to have it shipped home. Sounds great, doesn't it? Except the wine you receive will be different from the wine purchased. And when you dig through your paperwork to check the receipt, you'll realize it lacks detail and is non-specific. (So how do they actually know what to ship???) Other than the photos of the wine we purchased, I'd have no idea once back in the States. Even the shipping documents included in the box at delivery are deceptive and cite "ceramic tiles valued at $10 euros" in the description. Sketchy!!! We learned the hard way after purchasing six bottles of high-end Amarone for $130 per bottle. Two weeks later we received 6 different bottles of wine retailing for between $50-$60 euros per bottle. I've tried to follow up several times by phone and email - no help over the phone and no response via email. (Stella or Branko - if you're out there reading this review, please contact me!) I'm still hoping to resolve but I"m not optimistic given the other reviews I've since seen on line. This bait & switch seems to be common practice with Wine & Drugs in Ravello. If you purchase wine from this shop, take it with you. Don't chance having them sub out cheap(er) wines and then refuse your calls and emails to resolve. Bottom line - there are plenty of other wine shops in Ravello... go to one that doesn't routinely engage in unethical business practices.

The salesperson was very friendly and welcoming, offering pour after pour of wine, which we tried to refuse but surrendered to her charm. We purchased a bottle (for way above market without knowing). We were told shipping charges for the single magnum of wine wine we purchased would total approximately $20, and that the wine would be shipped "temperature-controlled" due to the hot summer months. Wine will "cook" in temperatures above 70 degrees. When the wine arrived we measured a temperature of 100 degrees on the bottle. We contacted the shipping company and gave them our tracking number, who said there was no "temperature-controlled" shipping for the item, that it was shipped via regular shipping. We were also charged $127 by the shipping company used by the retailer for that single bottle! We had no response from seller when trying to either activate the “insurance”, or in returning the damaged wine. The receipts they give you are also purposefully non-descript and are likely not official. Beware, do not purchase from these unscrupulous people!

Spent a really enjoyable afternoon here. It alone was worth the trip to Ravello. Some of the best wine I've ever had, there was no pressure to buy any of them. The company was excellent. The staff's knowledge was top notch. Highly recommend.
