As a sfoglatella fella I naturally loved the sfog on offer at this delightful establishment. The fruit tart was terrific. We were so overwhelmed by the choice and asked for a third recommendation (we were on holiday after all ;)) and the wonderfully helpful staff recommended a lemon tart to die for. You must try this place. I guarantee your sweet tooth will be more than titillated...

Really great cakes but truly awful service sadly. I would recommend to takeaway. We waited in a queue to be seated. We elected to sit inside to get a table quicker. We waited over 35 minutes from sitting down with menus to be served (for drinks as well as food). In this time, we went up to the counter twice to ask for someone to come and serve us and they kept palming us off. They were busy so we would have accepted an apology but were not given one or even an acknowledgement that we waited too long to be served. Staff very indifferent. For me, that just ruins the whole experience. Especially as the prices are so high. For 6 euros for one cake/pastry, you would expect decent service.

Waited for over 20 minutes and no service, until I eventually left. Waiter did not seem to care that I was waiting at all, walked by me a few times, and it would be nice if their items had labels, they look delicious, but it’s difficult to know what they are. Can get quite chaotic in there and people will cut in front of you and the the staff didn’t seem to mind at all. I know it’s likely good, very historical, good baking, but service can be improved big time.

Located at the heart of Amalfi, this pasticceria has the most delicious lemon delight! Don't sit if you don't want to ended up paying double the price. You can stand and eat in the shop and pay less or eat while standing outside (you can see eat while admiring the church & fountain!). Sitting in is also a good option if you are willing to pay more and perhaps if you have a lot of time to kill and enjoy people watching. They are open from 7:30, so it is a good place if you are looking for a breakfast place!

Just go. Some of the best pastries in all Italy. Snag a table on the plaza if available. Check out the santarosa and lemon delight
