It is the most important church in the community. It has three naves. At the top there is a beautiful solid wood ceiling made by a good local craftsman, in the middle there is a canvas of the painter P. Gamba depicting "L 'Assunta". Behind the main altar in the apse there is another cloth, always by P. Gamba, the largest representing the "Nativity". On the right side wall in a lower altar there is a relief sculpture of the "Christ Veiled ".

Altarpiece with Nativity of Solimene, high relief of the deposition of Jesus of Sammartino, Christ in wooden Cross with a nail at each foot prior to 1400, wooden statue of the Madonna della Difesa with Jesus Child, represented standing , first work by Amalia Dupre '(Tuscan artist) in Casacalenda, the second is in the Sanctuary, represented sitting, after having dreamed it. Unexplored crypt.
