You can taste different kind of meet cooked in different ways

Braceria or cooker ready if you prefer, when you are in Santeramo I think there is little better to do than devote yourself to a binge of meat in one of these characteristic places. For those who still do not know, these are butchers that also offer table service without too many frills, in the style of a village festival. It works like this: you patiently queue outside then, once inside, you go to the meat counter to choose the cuts you want to taste and, finally, you are accommodated in another room where you eat. At the meat counter, do not be afraid to ask for some vegetables, even if they are not displayed they are part of the menu and I must say that I liked them very much, together with the wine which was also very good (a primitivo of the house that notice outclasses many "valuable" bottles). The meat was ok, maybe I didn't choose the strong pieces of the house but, apart from the typical and tasty bowls, I went for the classic with sausages and skewers that I didn't find particularly intriguing. The cooking was spot on, even for what concerns the excellent grilled vegetables. The bill is light in relation to the abundance of what is served, it almost seems to take into account the price of the meat to be purchased in the butcher's without overloading too much with the added value of food preparation, service and cover charge which, of course, will also be Spartans but they are still present. All things considered, I would go back there, perhaps trying other cuts and getting better advice at the meat counter, although I am not a fanatic of the sheep or, much less of the horse (which, to my nose, are the real specialties of the house). Perhaps these are genuine places that are appreciated more when there is no chaos and the influx of us tourists in the summer period where, obviously, the rhythms become too frenetic and every attempt at organization goes to bless the habits of a quiet village where, throughout the rest of the year, only those of the place and surroundings will probably pass through.

Excellent choices of meats, poor everything else. Staff not always very courteous, almost annoyed. Burgers cooked and served with the film still on with the risk of eating it. In addition, the interior was completely raw. On the other hand, when requested to cook other types of meat rare, they were served very cooked. Appropriate price.

Nothing special, some courses good, others less. The sausage for example was not up to par with others in the same country. Low prices
