A pretty run of the mill Italian courthouse

The court of Paola was established at the end of the 60s. The courthouse is located in the center of the famous town along the Tyrrhenian coast of the province of Cosenza. The court is composed of two adjoining buildings (old and new court) and inside there are all the judicial offices, including the prosecutor's office, the justice of the peace and the notification office. Inside the building there is also a refreshment point with tobacco sales, an ATM and a well-equipped stationery shop with the possibility of making photocopies, printing mail and / or fax, requesting the issuance of stamps and unified contributions . The courthouse is located not far from the train station and the entrance to the S.S. 18 (lower tirrena).

Same judge for 20 hearings ... same day for a criminal trial of which they are tests. Always postpone the cause.But after seven years do they not fall into a statute of limitations? However the employees are very kind and friendly. I didn't know where to go and a gentleman in the office accompanied me to the courtroom where the hearing was being held. It is true that there is a wonderful sea view. But bring a wind jacket.

The hearings that I held at the executions section were very long. Conversely, the judge was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately it was the fourth I met. Two togati and two got. A nightmare!

The merging of the judicial offices has saved Tribunals and Public Prosecutors like Paola; definitely good for the area. Despite the presence of only three courtrooms the causes are dealt with quickly. Unfortunately the distance from the big centers and from the highway strongly penalizes this garrison. However, there are numerous parking lots.
