ANNUNZIATA ENRICO (NAPLES) I was hospitalized in an emergency for acute pulmonary edema taken to the Praya a Mare hospital in Calabria where I was on vacation and where I was treated by really good and human doctors. Transferred by helicopter to the resuscitation of Cetraro and also there staff are very talented doctors and then subsequently transferred to the utic Dell hospital in San Francesco di Paola. Here treated very well by capable and big-hearted people. A big thank you goes to Mr. Francesca, Mr. Amanda and Mr. Italo special people. Thank you all.

I have to give a star to review but I wouldn't give that either. Obviously I can only tell about my experience with the orthopedics department. My 85-year-old father, who fell at his home, was taken from 118 to the Paola hospital. Without waiting for the children who live far away already at the entrance to orthopedics they make him sign a series of consents, including that for the intervention. Multiple displaced fracture III distal shaft left femur, already subjected to osteosynthesis with intramedullary nail of the same limb 2 years earlier with surgery at high risk of survival in another hospital due to all the serious pathologies of my father. The evening before the surgery, the doctor on the afternoon shift by phone reassured me that before taking him to the operating room they would let me speak to the anesthetist to assess the degree of risk of the surgery, the dangers of operating it or not. In the morning I arrived at the hospital from afar according to the time established for the surgery, I do not find my father in the ward, but already in the operating room. I was shocked, my father could die and my sister and I didn't even wait for us to say goodbye before he entered the operating room (I repeat we were on time according to the appointment), but even more shocked because they didn't let us decide and evaluate whether it was appropriate to operate or not listening to what the anesthetist advised us. I reached the operating room and for a few minutes I was able to speak to the anesthetist, a woman, on shift that morning. Very annoyed and gouged told me that dad was already asleep and that I was wasting my time. Another doctor arrives, the head physician of orthopedics shows up, quickly tells me that leaving him in bed would have condemned him to other health problems anyway. Well in the end, however, the head physician, and the whole team in S.O. chased dad away alive. But if something went wrong they didn't let me greet him, hug him, soothe him, kiss him. I don't know how I could have stood it. In the ward, I noticed that someone frequently unplugged dad's doorbell (call device). Dad told me on the phone when I couldn't be with him for work, and I found him pushed away from the bed, the doorbell, so that my father couldn't take it, he was enticed, that he couldn't move. Because he was always calling, that he was in pain. Close to the days scheduled for discharge, I asked for a protected discharge, I needed help to place my father in a rehabilitation facility. Now I don't remember if the same head physician or another orthopedic doctor, they told me that as a hospital they don't do it, I would have to deal with it myself! Dad operated on me because they told me he shouldn't stay in bed, well my father 1 month after the surgery on July 1st, he is more suffering than before in bed, given his health conditions, they could avoid doing it , but on the other hand, if you don't try, maybe they gain something more from operating, in the end we can easily become guinea pigs. Dad wasn't theirs!

Excellent hospital and excellent staff. Familiar and welcoming environment. A lot of professionalism. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Veronica Crocco Surgeon at high levels and very human and available at 360 degrees. It should be an example for everyone. Congratulations

I was positively surprised, the medical department works well, the doctors carefully follow the patients and they are very scrupulous, all the staff are kind and qualified, in short, everything works well despite the lack of personnel, finally my compliments go to the primary, doctor Eugenio D'Amico who coordinates everything. A special thanks to Doctor Arone who followed me for almost 20 days with professionalism and courtesy.
