Along Corso Vittorio Emanuele we reach the small square where the Church of San Paolo dating back to the 15th century is located. The square is decorated with the fountain of San Paolo, of the Gaginesca school, commissioned in 1674 by the viscount Jacopo Ruffo. It is a white marble statue depicting a girl with tight-fitting clothes showing the sinuous lines of her body and holding in her right hand a shield with the coat of arms depicting two rampant lions (coat of arms of Domenico lord of Sperlinga). Tradition has it that this young girl represents the city of Francavilla.
