Were replaced deteriorated sandstones that compromised the static nature of the tower and represented with important detachments a danger for those who eventually found themselves passing. Thus the tower disappeared from the gaze of the population surrounded by scaffolding and tarpaulins, alienating itself for decades. Finally, in the past few days, the scaffolding has been removed and the tower has reappeared in all its beauty.

It would be the most beautiful tower in Reggio if, after more than forty years of scaffolding that disfigured it, one could find the way and the funds to finish the works.
