The church of San Valentino rises in Salara with orientation North-West-South, preceded by a shallow, semicircular churchyard. The wind front is marked by a double row of pilasters, lower Doric and upper Ionic, separated by a broken trabeation. The upper order is connected to the inferior through curvilinear rampants, closed on the sides by pyramidal pinnacles, in stone. In the lower part of the façade there are three portals with curvilinear molded cornices. Above the working portals, square windows open, within a mystical frame. At the center of the upper part of the façade there is a mosaic representing Saint Valentine, within a molded cornice. The façade is crowned by a triangular pediment, with a dented frame. A star decoration is inserted in the center of the tympanum, within a circular frame. On the ridge and on the sides of the rampant pinnacles are raised to pot on pillars. On the side fronts there are three large round windows on each side and on the back, on the semicircular apse, two tall symmetrical single windows on the sides.
Basilica planimetric scheme with three naves, separated by round arches, interspersed with wall screens, surrounded by Doric pilasters, between which rectangular openings are inserted. The pilasters have pink marble bases and a continuous hoof, in red marble, runs along the nave and in the presbytery. Above the pilasters there is a broken trabeation, projecting along the nave, in the presbytery and in the apse. The counter-façade is punctuated by Doric pilasters between which frames are inserted that welcome paintings of Saints. Between the central pilasters of the façade there is a molded arch in stucco. The nave is covered by a barrel vault, pierced by the deep nails of the windows. Towards the minor aisles, in correspondence of the first and third spans, the votive chapels, shallow, rectangular, with barrel vaults, open with round arches. The presbytery, raised by three steps in red marble on the church floor, opens towards the classroom with a lowered arch on Doric columns. A rectangular plan, it is covered in the central dome span on spherical plumes. The semicircular apse, divided into three parts by Doric pilasters, is covered by a vault.
