Sede Associazione Turistica Pro-Loco Locorotondo

No doubt places like Otranto, Lecce, Monopile, Polignano al Mare were on our to-do-list during holiday, and yes, they are beautiful, but Locorotondo was the big surprise. On one of our last days in Puglia, we decided to give Locorotondo a go. We didn't expect much, for being just one of the small villages scattered around in Puglia. We were wrong. The village is small but very lively. There are all kind of shops, bars and restaurants. The architecture and buildings are great, the views from different spots in the village on the surrounding area / valley are magnificent. We spent a lot of time in Locorotondo, had some nice pizza in one of the picturesque medieval streets and enjoyed this pleasant village very much.

Lovely small historical old town with narrow streets and white houses. Nice for walking, cafeterias and restaurants.

Despite the many tourists, we were extensively and very kindly assisted and with a lot of information we were able to visit this beautiful old center

Fireworks Festival - fluid organization for all tourists. Why do caterers say they are closed when the fires end, that they do not have a bathroom because they are wet or that they cannot sell anything for the same reason? Three very central caterers to whom we asked for both said they could do nothing because the exercise was closed. For the bathroom one of them then asked if it was for the lady, showing possibility of indulgence. The public baths were not easily identifiable and only as a courtesy was the bathroom of the underground garage (already closed) opened. Details? No, organizations!
