The church is dedicated to Maria Santissima dell'Udienza and inside we find the venerated statue of the Madonna holding Baby Jesus in her arms, a work attributed to Antonello Gagini. The marble base of the statue is missing and it is detached and preserved in another site. The Dormitio Virginis is reproduced on the front of the base, as an abbreviation that confirms the attribution of the work to Gagini. On the sides are sculpted the coats of arms of the client. In front of the Madonna's bed, seated on the ground, we see the ankylosed Jew, as seen in many other sixteenth-century works. In the bell tower, in Arabian style, there is a mechanical clock with stone counterweights. Finally, we know that a space between the bell tower and the sacristy, without any access, is filled with human bones. To visit.
