Very nice to see it illuminated at nightfall.It was built after the terrible earthquake of 1693 that upset the eastern Sicily.The first facade was completely different from the current, very similar to the cathedral of Noto with a two-story scheme, where on the sides you stood two bell towers connected by vaults. After the collapse of 1869, the new façade was designed based on Palladio and Vignola.
